This two-day forum was designed around the leaders and issues defining the technology needs and directions for the metal casting industry.

Within the building housed by CERP, the California Foundry History Institute maintains the California Foundry History Museum.
Docent guided tours are available
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. ; Thursday and Friday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Best Paper Award Received
May 16, 2007 - At the Metal Casting Congress AFS/NADCA Recognition Luncheon in Houston, Texas, George Crandell, Vice President of Operations for Technikon (Operators of CERP) received the Best Paper Award from the American Foundry Society – Environmental Health and Safety Division.
The paper, "The Addition of Cellulose to Molding Sand When Reducing Seacoal for Emission Reduction During Pouring, Cooling, and Shakeout" (paper number 07-021), was co-authored by Vic LaFay of Hill & Griffith Company.
