Technikon offers research services to industrial and government clients specializing in advanced technologies in the areas of metal casting, point source emissions and renewable energy. |

, the Casting Emission Reduction Program (CERP) was formed in 1994 by a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) between the Department of Defense, environmental agencies (USEPA & Californaia Air Resources Board) and the private sector (American Foundry Society), Casting Industry Suppliers Association, and the United States Council for Automotive Research - comprised of General Motors Corporation, Ford Motor Company and DaimlerChrysler Corporation).
The mission of CERP is to improve and/or develop new products, processes or technologies for industry that reduce environmental impact and keep industry competitive in a global economy.
